A good quality resume for Philippine jobs does not stay away from international standard resume. Of course, you need to have a good set of details that will attract your employers. Take note that even telecommuting jobs or telecommute jobs will require a resume sometimes. What are the primary things to include in a resume?

Just like what you already know, you need a header that includes your profile details, a resume objective statement, a work experience section, educational background and references. Since you already know this, we will give you some tips how to make your CV or resume more attractive.

Do not put an image or picture on resume. If the position is not about good looks, do not put your picture. There is a psychological aspect in looking at a person’s face that may or may not lead to interviews. To be safe, do not put a picture.

Write a simple objective sentence. A statement or two will do. You can be as corny as you want to be because this will give your resume more character rather than stiff “Because I want to earn money or I want to share my skills to the company”. Be yourself.

Do not exceed your resume Philippine style for more than two pages. Actually, two pages is maximum. HR staff will never look at all the details in your resume so don’t give them a reason to be lazy.

Make sure to use clean white bond paper. There are people who are stupid enough to use colored paper and inks. It is so unprofessional unless you are applying for an artist position.

Lastly, take time to proofread your resume. A simple misspelled word of “from” and “form” is not appealing to the eyes.
