Many of the new graduates today no longer need to go abroad just to get a decent job. In fact, the increase of many BPO companies have provided many call center jobs for fresh grads. But what are the real benefits in getting a call center position? Many of my friends have been dying to know because I was once a part of the call center industry. For 15 months, I was a back office agent, the one who processes papers for the company back in the US. I belong to the few 20 people who do not receive calls but process fax and e-mail requests. Still, we have to come to work in night shift scheme.
One benefit of being a call center agent is the salary. I cannot say that I received the standard call center salary but still, it is high compared to minimum wage.
Next is the night differential pay. You will receive 10% more of your salary from 10PM to 6PM as mandated by the law.
You are against the traffic. Although there are still many agents, including me who comes to work late, you can pretty much come to work early since all other day job people are going home.
